Using the UTAUT model to analyze user intention to accept electronic payment systems in Serbia

This study applies The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use Technology (UTAUT) to explain the acceptance electronic payment systems in Serbia. We used extended model that incorporates several external variables, such as perceived security, trust, privacy, convertibility financial costs, along with basic UTAUT predictors. sample comprised 457 respondents. applied structural equation modelling develop draw conclusions. results showed performance expectancy, trust social influence had strong positive effects on behavioral intention. Conversely, we found intention, costs be significant drivers user behavior. consider inclusion proving its significance main practical implications our research, also suggest considered a factor models designed for countries low purchasing power national currency.
